This show kicked off with 12 traks of old timey music including a few wax cylinder transcriptions from Marc H. Thanks Marc. A great find during the "Quanset Hut" sessions was "On The Rebound" which featured one of the earliest use of reverb and earned it the Hot Trak of the evening. Slim Bryant & His Wildcat's, "Thunderstorm" was a fine example of late 1940's swing style including the web master's favorite... accordion. We all have secrets and that's one I don't mind sharing.

Out of all the calls tonight one stood out. A caller told Loki were to go to learn to yodel. I'm thinking maybe we had the mic on by mistake during Peter Rowan's, "Prairie Lullabye" Oh well!

After some required "Surf" the show broke into a tripy "Medication" by Son Volt followup by Kid Loco's, "The Graffiti Artist." I was flashbacking to an Arkansas River fishing trip cica 1984.

FINALLY... the nugget of gold, Son Volt's rendition of Cortez The Killer. Man, where else could you get to hear that? Answer: nowhere.

News release from Route 78 West's Technology Department... PODCASTS Now Available. Go to www.route78west.blogspot.com and get a show to listen to any time you want. Thanks to roving consultant Joel for getting the podcast functioning. Let us know what you think of this new menu offering.

Now back to our regular programing. Uncle Jeff warns against, "Surfing in Boulder Creek."

See ya next week.
